The Tragically Hip

The Tragically Hip is a band formed in Kingston, Ontario, Canada in 1983. The band enjoyed significant popularity through the release of the albums Trouble at the Henhouse, Fully Completely, and Day for Night. The band was formed by Gord Sinclair, Bobby Baker, Johnny Fay, Paul Langlois, and Gord Downie. They released a self-titled LP, they’re first, in 1987. This was followed by Up to Here. In 1990, they won the Most Promising Group of the Year from Juno.

The band released In Violet Light in 20012 followed by In Between Evolution in 2004. Now A Plan came in 2012 and their latest effort is Man Machine Poem in 2016. The album won the Juno award for Rock Album of the Year and the Group of the Year.
