Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Trans-Siberian Orchestra, also known as TSO, is an American rock band founded in 1993 in Tampa, Florida. The band is a musical organization for creating new music by artist Paul O’Neill. O’Neill created the 60 piece orchestra for conceptual symphonic rock albums and Christmas theme music.

The band’s debut album, Christmas Eve and Other Stories was released in 1996. The followed up in 1998 with The Christmas Attic. The album Beethoven’s Last Night was released through Atlantic records in 2000. The three are often grouped as a trilogy of sorts. In 1999 the band began to start touring and thus increased their popularity.

In 2004 the Trans-Siberian Orchestra released the album The Lost Christmas Eve. The group toured for the next few years and then returned with a fifth album called Night Castle. The album debuted at number 5 on the Billboard Album Charts. In 2012 the Trans-Siberian Orchestra released an EP entitled Dreams of Fireflies (On a Christmas Night) on the label Lava Republic Universal Records. The album debuted at number 9 on the Billboard 200. The group released 2 more albums, the 2013 Tales of Winter compilations and 2015’s Letters from the Labyrinth.
