The Wanted

Originating in England, The Wanted is a five-piece boy band comprised of Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker, and Nathan Sykes. The group formed in 2009 through a huge audition process, and The Wanted was inclusive originally of only Max George, Tom Parker, and Nathan Sykes; the other two joined sometime later. The band was then signed to Geffen Records just before they released their debut single “All Time Low” in 2010, which became a #1 song in the UK. They then went on to release “Heart Vacancy” and “Lose My Mind”, and later their debut album The Wanted in late 2010. After returning to the studio for their second album, they released “Gold Forever”, “Glad You Came”, and “Lightning” throughout 2011. That November, they put out their album Battleground, which went to #5 in the UK and was later certified Platinum. Their breakthrough in the US, however, came with the release of The Wanted: EP, led by the single “Glad You Came”. Just after making plans for their first tour in 2014, The Wanted announced that they would be taking some time off in the interest of pursuing solo careers.
