Tamzin Outhwaite was born in Essex, England on November 5th, 1970. She began studying drama and dance at London Studio Centre when she was sixteen years old. Tamzin is best known for her roles as “Melanie” in EastEnders, “Sgt Kelly Anders” on 7 Seconds, and “Rebecca Mitchell” on Hotel Babylon.

Tamzin has also appeared in the television shows Red Cap, Vital Signs, The Fixer, Paradox, and New Tricks. She won a British Soap Award in 2000 for ‘Sexiest Female’ for her work in EastEnders.
