Roquan Smith
Roquan Smith is an American professional football player born in Marshallville, Georgia on April 8, 1997. He is currently a linebacker for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League. He played football in high school at Macon County High School in Montezuma, Georgia. He went on to play college football at the University of Georgia from 2016 to 2017. In 2017 he was named MVP of the SEC Championship Game and SEC Defensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press. He decided to forgo his senior season to enter the NFL Draft. Smith was selected by the Chicago Bears in the first round, 8th overall, in the 2018 NFL Draft. He was signed to a four-year contract with the Bears for $18.47 million with a signing bonus of $11.51 million. He made his regular season NFL debut in week 1 of the season against the Green Bay Packers. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 122 tackles, 5 sacks, and 1 interception.
