Robert Kirkman

Robert Kirkman is an American comic book writer born in Lexington, Kentucky on November 30, 1978. He is best known for creating The Walking Dead, Tech Jacket, Invincible, Oblivion Song and Outcast for Image Comics. He is one of the five partners of Image Comics. He has also written Ultimate X-Men, Marvel Zombies, and Irredeemable Ant-Man for Marvel Comics. The first comic book that he worked on was Battle Pope in 2000. He has since written the comic books, Masters of the Universe, Tech Jacket, Noble Causes, Four Letter Words, Image Holiday Special, Haunt, Outlaw Territory, Spider-Man Unlimited, Marvel Zombies, Destroyer, X-Force, Masters of the Universe, Tales of the Realm and others. He has also written a number of non-graphic The Walking Dead novels, including The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor, The Walking Dead: The Road to Woodbury, The Walking Dead: The Fall of the Governor – Part 1, The Walking Dead: The Fall of the Governor – Part 2, Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead: Decent and others. In 2011 The Walking Dead TV series was nominated for A Writers Guild of America Award for Best New Series. In 2013 Kirkman was nominated for the OFTA Television Award for Best Writing in a Drama Series.
