Born in March 25, 1963, Robert Fulks or widely known as “Robbie” came from North Carolina. He is known for his alternative country music, which plays offbeat, and dark sense of humor. He then moved onto a genre of rock hybrid. He studied at Columbia University. In 1983, he moved to Chicago where he became a vocalist and guitarist for Special Concensus.

In 1994, Robbie Fulks released his “Insurgent Country, Vol. 1: For a Life of Sin” album, where his track “Cigarette State” was included. The following year, the album “Insurgent Country, Vol. 2: Hell-Bent” including the track “She Took a Lot of Pills (And Died).” By year 2014, Fulks toured UK. In 2016, he returned with Upland Stories.
