Pretty Sister

Pretty Sister is the solo music endeavour of Zak Water, born in Los Angeles, California. Zak is an American singer, songwriter, DJ, and record producer. Zak first began his music career by founding the pop rock group called Blueskyreality. The band was signed to Universal Republic Records in 2010.

Zak began releasing solo music in 2011 with his debut single “Unstoppable.” In the same year he released his debut solo EP entitled New Normal. He was then featured on Madeon’s single “The City” in 2012.  The song charted in at number 74 on the UK Singles chart and number 20 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart.  In the same year he remixed Adam Labert’s single “Trespassing” to critical acclaim.

In 2013 Zak released his debut studio album called Lip Service. He then remixed Ginuwine’s single “Pony” to critical acclaim and debuted his second EP called Now//Later. In 2015 he undertook the moniker of Pretty Sister and released his second studio album called Z-Funk Era through Manhattan Records. He released his first single under the Pretty Sister name in 2016 called “Drive.” In the same year he released the singles “Come to L.A.” and “West Coast.” In collaboration with Nause, Pretty Sister released the single “Dynamite.” The song charted at number 13 on the Swedish Charts, and was certified platinum in Norway and gold in the Netherlands and Canada.
