Penn Jillette

Penn Fraser Jilette was born on March 5, 1955 in Greenfield, Massachusetts. He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Jilette is a magician/illusionist, juggler, comedian, inventor, actor and best-selling author known primarily for his work with his magician partner Teller (Raymond Joseph Teller), as half the team Penn & Teller.  Jilette is also widely known for his political views and for his stance on atheism, scientific skepticism, libertarianism, and free-market capitalism.

During high school, Jilette worked with a classmate to develop and perform a juggling act that they continued to perform several years after graduation.  In 1974, Jilette graduated from the Ringling Bros. And Barnum & Bailey Clown College, and met Teller in that same year. Jilette and Teller, along with a mutual friend, formed a trio act called the Asparagus Valley Cultural Society, and performed mainly in California. In 1981, Penn & Teller were formed, and have since done a successful off broadway show and perform regularly in Las Vegas.
