Michael Bay

Michael Bay was born in Los Angeles, California on February 17, 1965. He is very well known when it comes to his directorial and producing achievements. He began his career in advertising and music videos, working with the likes of Tina Turner, Lionel Richie and Meat Loaf. He also received positive recognition for many of the ad campaigns her worked on, including Nike, Got Milk, Miller Lite, and Coca-Cola.

His list of movie credits, either director, producer or both is nothing short of impressive. Major action films include the Transformers series, Transformers (2007), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011), Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014), and Transformers: The Last Knight (2017), Bad Boys (1995), Pearl Harbor (2001), and The Last Ship (2014-2018).

The Transformers blockbusters franchise has grossed over $2.4 billion. The latest installment, Transformers: Age Of Extinction, opened at $300 million globally and broke box office records in China. Among Bay’s many awards and nominations are a couple of Razzie Awards as well as a 1995 Directors Guild of America Award.
