Matt Hires

Matt Hires is an American singer and songwriter born in Tampa, Florida on August 5, 1985. He started his career as a frontman for the band Brer. The band released the album Microwavable. Hires was signed as a solo artist to the record label F-Stop Music, an imprint of Atlantic Records. In 2008 he released his debut EP titled Live From the Hotel Cafe EP. He has since released the EPs A to B EP, Live Sessions EP, and Forever EP. In 2009 he released his debut studio album titled Take Us to the Start, featuring his first single “Honey Let Me Sing You A Song.” The album reached 96 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Hires has also released the studio albums This World Won’t Last Forever, But Tonight We Can Pretend and American Wilderness. His songs have appeared on the shows Grey’s Anatomy, Life Unexpected, Cougar Town, and Private Practice.
