Sarri Abboud was born on December 10, 1980 in Beirut Lebanon, but his family moved to Canada when he was 11 years old. In 2002, Massari adopted the stage name Massari and released his debut single Spitfire. Massari got signed to the label CP Records where he released his debut album, Massari. It was received well internationally and earned him fans all over Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

In 2009, he signed with a new label, Universal Records Canada, after which he released his second album, Forever Massari. In 2011 he signed back onto CP Records and released the single Brand New Day. In 2017 he released his third album Beirut. He won the SiriusXM Indie Awards Dance Artist of the Year in 2013 and the Murex d’Or Award Best International Arabian Artist in 2014. He is still making music and working on collaborations with artists like French Montana.
