Marcus Gilbert

Marcus Gilbert was born Marcus Christopher Gilbert in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on February 15, 1988. He was the second round, 63rd overall pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2011 NFL Draft. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed him to a four-year contract amounting to $3.22 million. In 2014, he signed a contract extension for five years worth $30.81 with a $7.65 million signing bonus. He serves as the offensive tackle of the team and wears shirt No. 77. He was named as the Pittsburgh Steelers Rookie of the Year. Prior to going pro, he played college football at the University of Florida.

He was redshirted in 20016. His team was the SEC Champion in 2008 and the BCS National Champion in 2009. He was also the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week.
