Marco Antonio Solis

Marco Antonio Solís was born on December 29, 1959 in Ario de Rosales, Michoacán, Mexico. He is a musician, songwriter, and record producer.  Solís started his musical career when he was 6 years old. He started his solo career after the splitting of his co-founded band, Los Bukis, in 1975. He was a lead vocalist and played the guitar for his group before he left.

He has been nominated and won several awards -Latin Grammy Awards: Best Regional Mexican Song – “Tu Amor o Tu Desprecio”(2004), Best Regional Mexican Song – “No Molestar” (2009), Best Grupero Album – No Molestar (2009), Best Regional Mexican Song – “Tú Me Vuelves Loco” and Best Regional Mexican Song – “De Mil Amores.” He also won the Lo Nuestro Awards once and was nominated several times for Pop Male Artist of the Year.
