Loyle Carner, born as Benjamin Gerard Coyle-Larner on October 6th, 1994 in London England is an English rapper and actor. His first appearance was on the set of the movie 10, 000 B.C. where he played a minor role. He began recording in 2012 and with the help of fellow rappers and friends King Krule and Rejjie Snow he managed to secure a spot for his first live show in support of rapper MF Doom.

In 2014 Loyle Carner released his first EP entitled A Little Late. He was then invited to open for Joey Badass on his U.K. tour in 2015 and in 2016 he opened up for Nas as well at his O2 Academy Show. He then released a single called “Tierney Terrance” which was well received and was signed to AMF, a label subsidiary of Virgin EMI.

Loyle Carner dropped his debut album in January 2017 entitled Yesterday’s Gone. The tracks “The Isle of Arran” and “Ain’t Nothing Changed” began to make headlines for Carner. The album peaked at number 14 on the charts. In July 2017 he was nominated for the 2017 Mercury Prize along with powerhouse artist Ed Sheeran.
