Los Tucanes De Tijuana

Los Tucanes de Tijuana was formed on April 13, 1987. Mario Quintero Lara and his friends from Tijuana, Mexico were playing in nightclubs, which is where their musical career started. They mostly play Norteña music and corridos and ballads.

They have won a lot of awards including the EL HERALDO Award for Musical Group of the Year, The GLOBO Award “Best Group of the Year” & “Best Album of the Year” in 1999 (New York), and Latin Grammy Award for Best Norteño Album in 2012.

They were also nominated for the Grammy’s Latino & American 12 times, and their songs have appeared on the Billboard charts over 50 times.
