Little Boots

Little Boots, born Victoria Christina Hesketh on May 4th, 1984 in Blackpool, England is a British singer and songwriter in the Electropop genre and a DJ. She began playing the piano at the age of 5 and continued to play well into her teen until she formed the group Dead Disco with some friends from school. Her musical inspirations come from artists such as The Killers, Ladytron and the Rapture.

Dead Disco was formed in 2005. The eventually got a headlining spot at the Manchester “In The City” festival and were then asked to collaborate with musical producer James Ford.  In 2006 they released their first single “The Treatment” through the label High Voltage.

Victoria broke off from the band in 2008 and started a solo act under the moniker Little Boots. She released her debut album, Hands, in 2009 which peaked at number 5 on the UK Albums Chart. In 2010 Little Boots won the International Dance Music Award for Best Breakthrough Solo Artist. She would go on to release two more solo album, Nocturnes and Working Girl up to 2016.
