Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X is the stage name of the American rapper, singer, and songwriter Montero Lamar Hill. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 9, 1999. Lil Nas X is best known for his country rap song “Old Town Road” that became popular on the video sharing app TikTok. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. He gained initial popularity for his fan account of Nicki Minaj on Twitter where several his tweets went viral. In 2018 he started uploading his songs to SoundCloud. That same year he uploaded his hit song “Old Town Road.” The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 83 but ended up reaching number 1. The remix of the song features Billy Ray Cyrus. It also reached number 19 on the Hot Country Song chart and number 36 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. That same year he released his debut mixtape independently titled Nasarati.
