Laura Dern

Laura Dern, born Laura Elizabeth Dern on the 10th of February 1967 in California and is an American actress. Born into a performing family, she is the daughter of actors Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern. The actress began acting as a child and began acting in 1973, it was in 1991 with her role in Rambling Rose which earned her an Academy Award nomination, and some of her best known film roles include Jurassic Park, Blue Velvet, Citizen Ruth, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the adventure drama, Wild, for which she earned another Academy Award nomination.

The actress has also appeared heavily in television, with television movies such as Happy Endings and Afterburn amongst her credits, she is well known for her work in the comedy-drama Enlightened, where she also served as executive producer and co-creator. In 2017, the actress portrayed Renata Klein in the drama series Big Little Lies alongside Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley.
