Kara Tointon

Kara Tointon was born Kara Louise Tointon on the 5th of August 1983, in Essex and is a British actress. With a career that began with time spent in the television show Dream Team as Gina, she then went on to have a short role in the show Teachers, Harry and Cosh and Dinotopia before becoming a series regular on the long running British soap opera EastEnders on which she portrayed Dawn Swann.

More recently well known for a series of main roles in films such as The Sweeney and Last Passenger, she portrayed Rosalie in the period television show Mr Selfridge and another show titled The Halcyon where she portrayed Betsey Day alongside such actors as Steven Mackintosh and Olivia Williams.
