Junes Diary

June’s Diary is an R&B girl band formed by superstar Kelly Rowland on BET’s ‘Chasing Destiny.’ They released their first single, “L.A.N.C.E.” last year. The music video has over a million views on YouTube. June’s Diary is made up of five girls: Ashly, Brienna, Gabby, Kristal, and Shyann.

Ashly hails from Compton, California, and has been signing since she was 12 years old. She has previously toured as a solo artist with Keyshia Cole, and Trey Songz. Besides music, Ashly also does PR, Marketing, and Substitute teaching.

Shyann is from St Petersburg, Florida, and also began music early. She began singing at age two, and performing at only four. Shyann has opened for Boyz II Men, and sang the national anthem at a 76ers game. She cites influences Whitney Houston, Yolanda Adams, and Beyonce.

Brienna, an economics major, is from Princeton, New Jersey. Her musical influences include Destiny’s Child, and B2K. Gabby, from Glendale, California, began singing choir in seventh grade. Kristal is from Charlotte, North Carolina. The girls are now in the studio working on their first EP, which is set to be released later this year.
