John Turturro

John Turturro is an Italian-American actor, writer, and filmmaker born in New York City, New York on February 28, 1957. He is best known for his roles in the films Do the Right Thing, Miller’s Crossing, Barton Fink, Quiz Show, The Big Lebowski, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and the Transformer series. In 1980 he made his debut in film in the movie Raging Bull and continued landing roles in the films The Flamingo Kid, Gung Ho, Off Beat, Five Corners, The Sicilian, Jungle Fever, Barton FInk, Mac, Being Human, Search and Destroy, Clockers, The Truce, Box of Moonlight, He Got Game and more. He made his debut on television in 1985 in the show Miami Vice and has since had roles in the shows Sugartime, Biography, Frasier, Monk, The Bronx is Burning, The Night Of, Difficult People, The Name of the Rose, and others. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won a Primetime Emmy Award, a Gotham Award, two Cannes Film Festival Awards and more.
