Jedward

Jedward is an Irish television personality and singing duo made up of identical twins John and Edward Grimes, born on October 16th, 1991 in Dublin, Ireland. During their childhood, John and Edward participated in school talents shows trying to emulate artists such as Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, and Justin Timberlake.

In 2008 Jedward formed as a musical duo and auditioned for the sixth season of the X-Factor.  The twins made it through to the the final 12. During their live performances they sang a rendition of Britney Spears’ “Oops!…I Did It Again.” In 2010 they participated in the X Factor Live tour and released their debut single, “Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby),” a mashup of “Under Pressure” and “Ice Ice Baby.”  In the same year Universal Music Ireland signed Jedward to a three album contract. The duo then released their debut album called Planet Jedward. The album debuted at number 1 on the Irish charts and number 17 on the UK albums chart.

In 2012 they released their second album called Victory. Tha album featured entirely original tracks. The year after saw the twins released their third album called Young Love. Jedward also starred in their own television called Jedward’s Big Adventure.
