Jamie Lawson

Born on December 1, 1975, Jamie Lawson came from St. Budeaux, Plymouth, England. He is an acoustic singer-songwriter, known in the Irish music scene. One of his songs became an overnight YouTube sensation. Lawson started music at the age of eight, influenced with the likes of Crowded House, R.E.M. and Leonard Cohen. Then by age of 17, he started discovering his voice and joined performing in Irish clubs.

His debut album, “Last Night Stars” was released in 2003 under his very own Allotment Recordings. In 2010, “The Pull of Moon” arrived but only made waves after a year when the track “Wasn’t Expecting That” in YouTube was plated on Ireland’s “Today FM’s Breakfast Show.” In 2015, Lawson signed under Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Records releasing his self-titled LP that same year.
