Illy
Alasdair David George Murray, more commonly known by his stage name Illy, was born on September 6, 1985, on Frankston, Victoria, Australia. He used to be part of the group Crooked Eye. He released an album, Long Story, as a solo artist on 2009.
He released also released The Chase, Bring It Back, which won the 2013 Best Urban Album Award, and Cinematic (2013).
In 2016, Illy worked with M-Phazes who produced the album Two Degrees. “Papercuts,” the album’s lead single, which features Vera Blue of UMPG peaked at No. 2 of the Top 25 Singles chart. Other featured artists in the album include Sir The Baptist in “Hazard To Myself,” Jenna McDougall in “Oh My,” and Anne-Marie on “Catch-22.” In 2017, he also won the Best Live Act for Two Degrees: Tour.
