Guillermo Rigondeaux

Guillermo Rigondeaux was born in  La Prueba, Santiago de Cuba, Cuba on  September 30, 1980. He won a gold medal at the Olympics in 2000 and 2004. He also won seven national championships in Cuba and two amateur world championships. His amateur record is 374-12.

Rigondeaux turned pro in 2009. He won the NABA Super Bantamweight title by beating Giovanni Andrade in the same year. In 2010, To Rank signed him to a three-year contract. He also won the vacant WBA interim super bantamweight title in November of that year. In 2012, he won against Rico Ramos by KO and bagged the Won WBA (Regular) super bantamweight title. In 2013, he won the WBO, The Ring, and lineal super bantamweight titles and the vacant WBC International Silver super bantamweight title in 2015.
