Grant Maloy Smith was born on August the 28th 1957 in Jacksonville and is an American musician, singer, songwriter and businessman. Starting a career in 1981 with a band titled Britannia,  the artist eventually turned to scoring indie films such as Code Of Ethics, Pray for Power and Pledging Allegiance.

Despite his other business ventures and constant film scoring, Smith also released five studio albums between 2001 to 2017, his latest albums titled Yellow Trailer and Dust Bowl: American Stories have both become successful. Known for hit singles such Old Black Roller, I Come From America and Me Time, Smith has frequently touring the world as a headliner and a supporting act, the artist is believed to have had a long and successful career in all aspects of music thus far.
