Grandtheft, born Aaron Waisglass in Toronto, Ontario is a Canadian DJ and musician.  During his time at McGill University he learned how to DJ, but has been classically trained on the piano and has been writing music at the age of 11. He began to DJ in 2000 and was selected as part of Team Canada’s DJ Duo. He was then booked to open up for high profile artists such as U2, Arcade Fire, The Roots, Raekwon, Black Eyed Peas, Lupe Fiasco, K-OS, Jurassic 5, Metric, Bedouin Soundclash, Kardinal Offishal, Wyclef Jean, RJD2, Avicii and The Chainsmokers. The DJ duo known as Team Canada were selected to DJ the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He released his first EP called Quit This City under the label Mad Decent in 2015. In 2016 Grandtheft collaborated with Major Lazer to release the single “Number One.” 2017 saw the release of his single “Easy Go” in collaboration with Delaney Jane. The song debuted at number 46 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
