Born on April 23, 1961, George Edward Lopez came from Mission Hills, California, USA. He studied at San Fernando High School in Los Angeles, California. Among his first hosting experience is for the Seventh Annual Florida Sports Awards from Jacksonville’s Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts. His TV break was thanks to Sandra Bullock’s help.

In 2003, he was able to sell-out Los Angeles’ Universal Amphitheater for three straight nights. In 2004, his live comedy album “Team Leader” was nominated for a Grammy award for “Best Comedy Album.” He was ranked as the top 18th “50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time” for TV Guide.
