Gary Barlow is an English singer, songwriter, musician, and producer born in Frodsham, Cheshire, England on January 20, 1971. He is best known as the lead singer of the British pop group Take That. Barlow has had a love for music from a young age and has been performing in clubs since 15 years old. In 1990 he became the lead singer of the pop group Take That. Together they have released eight studio albums, two compilation albums, two live albums, one EP, and fourteen video albums. They have had 28 top 40 singles with 12 of them reaching number one in the UK. Take That has received eight Brit Awards and a number of other awards. Barlow started his solo career in 1996 and released his debut solo album in 1997 titled Open Road. The album charted at number one in the UK and certified platinum by the BPI. He has since released the albums Twelve Months, Eleven Days, Sing, and Since I Saw You Last. Barlow has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and has sold over 7 million concert tickets. In 2011 he became a judge on the reality talent competition show The X Factor UK and was also a judge in 2012 and 2013. In 2017 he started his own talent competition show Let It Shine.
