Donny Osmond

Donny Osmond is an American singer, actor, dancer, and former teen idol born in Ogden, Utah on December 9, 1957. In the 1960s he was in the group the Osmonds with his elder brothers. The brothers got their start performing on a Disneyland televised special and were invited to audition for The Andy Williams Show. At five years old Donny made his debut on the television show singing “You Are My Sunshine.” In the 1970s he decided to pursue a solo career while still performing with his brothers. He released his debut solo album in 1971 titled The Donny Osmond Album and went on to release a number of other albums, including To You with Love, Donny, Too Young, A Time For Us, Donny, Disco Train, Donny Osmond, Portrait of Donny and more. He became a teen idol in the 1970’s with many of his albums and singles charting in the United States. He made his on-screen debut in the Andy Williams Show in 1963 and continued landing roles on the shows and films Here’s Lucy, Donny & Marie, The Love Boat, Johnny Bravo, Goin’ Coconuts, Sesame Street, Identity and others.
