Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is an American professional football player born in Bradenton, Florida on April 7, 1986. He is currently a cornerback for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League. He played football in high school at Lakewood Ranch High School in Manatee County, Florida where he was an All-Area, All-Class 5A, and All-District 11 defensive back and wide receiver. He went on to play college football at Tennessee State University from 2004 to 2007. In 2008 he was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the first round, 16th overall, in the 2008 NFL Draft. He signed a five-year contract for $15.1 million with $9 million guaranteed. In 2011 he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. He signed a one-year contract with the Denver Broncos in 2013 for $5 million. In 2014 he signed a five-year contract with the New York Giants for $35 million with $11.98 million guaranteed. He was released by the Giants in 2018. In 2018 he signed with the Oakland Raiders, but later that year announced his retirement. He came out of retirement in 2019 and signed with the Washington Redskins. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 447 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, 7 forced fumbles, 147 pass deflections, 30 interceptions, and 6 defensive touchdowns.
