DJ Vlad

DJ Vlad is the stage name of the American DJ, director, and journalist Vlad Lyubovny. He was born in Kiev, Ukraine on June 28, 1973. He is the creator and CEO of the news website VladTV.com. He started a staffing company named GigaStaff but shut it down in 2000 to focus on music. He moved to New York and took part in creating the Rap Phenomenon mixtapes that won an award from Rolling Stone, MTV, and XXL Magazine. He has been a director on several projects, including the American Gangster television series, the documentary film Ghostride the Whip, and produced and hosted Hip-Hop on Demand. He started the hip-hop video news site VladTV.com in 2008. He also runs a YouTube channel named djvlad that he started in 2006. The channel has 3.1 million subscribers and over 2 billion total video views. He has a large following on social media with over 380k followers on Instagram, 190k followers on Facebook, and 50k followers on Twitter.
