David Bazan

David Bazan is an American indie rock singer and songwriter born in Phoenix, Arizona on January 22, 1976. He is the lead singer for the band Pedro the Lion and was the former lead singer for the band Headphones. In the 90s Bazan played drums in the band The Guilty and in 2002 he played drums and sang backup vocals for the band Seldom. In 2004 he played with the band Starflyer until 2005 when he helped form the band Headphones. The band released one self-titled LP and Bazan became part of The Undertow Orchestra. In 2006 The Undertow Orchestra toured the USA and Europe. Bazan has also played with a number of other artists and bands, including the Six Parts Seven, Unwed Sailor, Rosie Thomas, Crystal Skulls, The Soft Drugs and more. He is a current member of the band Overseas. They released their debut album on June 11, 2013. He also formed a new band called Lo Tom. As a solo artist David released his debut studio album in 2009 titled Curse Your Branches and has since released the albums Strange Negotiations, Blanco, Dark Sacred Night, and Care. He has also released several EPs and demos, including 7 song demo, Fewer Moving Parts, Live at Electrical Audio, and Rare Coins: David Bazan & Sean Lane.
