Christoph Waltz

Christoph Waltz was born on October 4, 1956, in Vienna, Austria. He was born into a family of set designers and actors; he followed suit when he attended Vienna’s University of Music and Performing Arts. He started his acting career in Europe, starring in theatre productions and television shows.

He is most known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds (2009) and Django Unchained (2012). He won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for each role. He also won Golden Globes and BAFTA Awards for each role, among other awards for Inglourious Basterds. Since his work in these two films, he has starred in movies including Tim Burton’s Big Eyes (2014) and David Yates’s The Legend of Tarzan (2016). In 2015, he became the latest Bond villain in Spectre (2015). He will return for two more Bond films to reprise his role as Blofeld, although he has reportedly only signed on if Daniel Craig plays James Bond.
