Bonde Do Role

Brazilian-formed electropop group Bonde do Role is comprised of Pedro D’Eyrot and Laura Taylor, who act as the MCs of the group, and Rodrigo Gorky, who is both an MC and a DJ. After posting some material to their Myspace page, they were discovered by internationally renowned DJ Diplo, and Bonde Do Role was later signed to his label, Mad Decent. They were then honored by Rolling Stone as one of the bands of the year to watch. Their debut album came in 2007, titled With Lasers, which featured the hit song “Solta o Frango”, meaning “enjoy and go crazy”. That year, however, their foundation was shaken with some lineup changes, but they bounced back in 2008 with fresh band mates and appearances at Coachella, We Love Sounds Festival, and others. They would go on to release the album Tropical/Bacanal in 2012.
