Andy Richter

Andy Richter is an American actor, comedian, writer, voice actor, and late night talk show personality born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 28, 1966. He is best known for being the sidekick of the late night talk show host Conan O’Brien on Late Night, The Tonight Show, and Conan. Richter started working in entertainment as a production assistant on commercial shoots in Chicago. He then wrote for a short time on the television show Jonathon Brandmeier. Andy was hired on as a writer for a new show that was being created Late Night with Conan O’Brien and was soon promoted to Conan’s sidekick before the show aired. He left the show in 2000 to pursue his acting career and was able to land a number of roles in shows and films like Big Trouble, Malcolm in the Middle, Elf, Will & Grace, Arrested Development, Blades of Glory, 30 Rock, Bones, Chuck, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and many more. Richter has also voiced characters for animated films, television shows, and video games like Crank Yankers, American Dad!, Madagascar, King of the Hill, Halo 4, Bob’s Burgers, Animals. among others. In 2009 he rejoined Conan on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien and followed him to the show self- titled show Conan in 2010 where he continues to work now.
