Watt was born as James Christopher Monger on October 20, 1990, in New York. He toured with Jared Evan and later on with Justin Bieber. He worked on the DJ Snake’s “Let Me Love You” featuring Justin Bieber which made it to No. 4 in the US and No. 2 in the UK. He is behind Camila Cabello’s “Havana” which topped the UK charts and Rita Ora’s “Anywhere” which made it to No. 2.

He is also the founder of California Breed which he formed with Jason Bonham and Glenn Hughes.

In 2015, he released Ghost in My Head, his debut as a solo artist. The album featured Chad Smith and Joey Castillo.

In 2018 alone, he worked on 5 Seconds of Summer’s Youngblood, Pentatonix’s PTX Presents: Top Pop, Vol. 1, various Kidz Bop Kids albums, and the Fifty Shades Freed motion picture soundtrack.
