Amir Khan

Amir Khan was born as Amir Iqbal Khanon in Bolton, Greater Manchester on December 8, 1986.

He started to compete in boxing tournaments when he was 11. During his younger years, he won three junior ABA titles and three English school titles. He also bagged a gold medal in the 2003 Junior Olympics. He won another gold medal in the European Student Championships in 2004.

In 2007, Khan won the Commonwealth lightweight title. In 2008, he won the WBO Inter-Continental lightweight title. In 2009, he won the title match for WBA International lightweight title and the WBA World super lightweight title. In 2011, he won the IBF World super lightweight title. He bagged the Interim WBC Silver super lightweight title in 2012. He won the WBC Silver Welterweight title and the WBA International Welterweight Title in 2014.
