Yara Shahidi was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 10th, 2000. She is an actress best known for her roles in 2014’s Black-Ish, 2010’s Salt, and 2009’s Imagine that. She also made guest appearances on the shows In The Motherhood, Cold Case, Wizards of Waverly Place, Family Guy, The Cape, and Scandal.

In 2015, Yara won an Image Award for ‘Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series’ for her performance in Black-ish. She can also be seen in The First Family, and Trollhunters.
