Wolf Alice

Rock band Wolf Alice consists of members Ellie Rowsell (vocals and guitar), Jeff Oddie (guitar and vocals), Theo Ellis (bass), and Joel Amey (drums). They formed in 2010 in London.

They started out as an acoustic duo, but decided to add the elements of bass and drums, then self-released a self-titled EP in 2010. In 2012, they released the single “Leaving You” on Soundcloud, and it gained some traction on BBC Radio 1. Their first official EP release was entitled “Blush” and was released in October 2013. They were chosen as the most blogged about artist by BBC Radio 6 Music. DIrty Hit Records signed the band in 2014 and their second EP, “Creature Songs,” was released under them in May 2014. They were named “Best Breakthrough Artist” at the UK Festival Awards in December 2013. Their first studio album was released in June 2015 and peaked at number twelve on the Billboard Alternative Albums chart, number ten on the Billboard Tastemaker Albums chart, and number fourteen on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart. In the UK, it reached number two on the UK Albums Chart. They were also number one on the Billboard Next Big Sound list in July 2015.
