Timaya

Born on November 29, 1977, Inetimi Alfred Odon or better known as Timaya is of Nigerian origin. He spent his early years in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Before starting off with music, Timaya studied finance. Soon after, he performed as backup singer for the rap group Eedris Abdulkareem.

Timaya became founder of Dem Mama Soldiers, a Nigerian hip-hop group. His other solo albums were “True Story”, “Gift and Grace”, “De Rebirth”, and “Upgrade”, all released in 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2012 consecutively. He received several honours like the Nigeria Music Award. He was also nominated for Nigeria Entertainment Award. He worked with 2face Idibia, and together they are popular Nigerian hip-hop artists.
