Sofi Tukker

Sofi Tukker is a electronic music duo consisting of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern.  The group’s moniker is an amalgamation of their first names. The duo of Sofi and Tucker formed in 2014 after meeting at Brown University in Rhode Island. Sofi plays a lyrical and melodic fusion of jazz and samba known as bossa and Tucker produces and remixes house music. In 2016 Sofi Trukker released their first Ep called Soft Animals.  The single “Drinkee” off the EP was featured in the movie The Incredible Jessica James and was nominated for a 2017 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. “Drinkee” was certified gold in Australia the same year. The single “Johny” was also featured in the EA Sport’s video game Fifa 17.  Another song off the EP called “Best Friend” was included in the Iphone X demo at the Apple announcement event in September 2017.
