Sleater-Kinney is an American rock band formed in Olympia, Washington in 1994. The current members of the band are Corin Tucker on vocals and guitar, Carrie Brownstein on vocals and guitar, and Janet Weiss on drums. The band is known for its feminist and left-leaning views. They released their debut single in 1994 titled “You Ain’t It!.” In 1995 they released their debut studio album self-titled Sleater-Kinny. They have since released the albums Call the Doctor, Dig Me Out, The Hot Rock, All Hands on the Bad One, The Woods, and No Cities Love. Their last five albums all charted on the Billboard 200 chart. They have also released one live album and one compilation album. Sleater-Kinney has released music through the labels Chainsaw, Kill Rock Stars, and Sub Pop.
