Siva Kaneswaran

Siva Kaneswaran was born on November 16, 1988 in Dublin, Ireland. He is a member of the Irish 5 man boy band called The Wanted.  He began his career as a model at the age of 16 for the agency Storm Model Management. He was invited to audition for the group as a result of an advertising campaign that was spotted by group founder Jayne Collins.

In 2009 The Wanted were formed with Siva Kaneswaran alongside Max George, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes. The group was signed to Geffen Records and released their debut album, The Wanted, in 2010.  Their first single called “All Time Low” charted at number 1 in the UK where it spent 17 weeks on the UK Top 40. The second single, “Heart Vacancy,” peaked at number 2 on the charts. The album went platinum in the UK in April of 2010.

In 2001 Siva and The Wanted began to work on their second album in conjunction with Steve Mac, Wayne Hector, Dianne Warren, and Guy Chambers. They released their album, Battleground, under a distribution deal with Def Jam Records. They then released a US market EP called The Wanted which met with critical acclaim.  Siva’s and the group’s third album Word of Mouth was released in 2013 and reached the Top Ten Album Charts in the UK.  The Wanted then went on a world tour before the band dissolved and went their separate ways.
