Rapper Sheek Louch was born Sean Divine Jacobs in Brooklyn, New York on November 9, 1976.  He formed The Lox with childhood friends Jadakiss and Styles P.  After Mary J. Blige heard a demo tape of theirs, she passed it along to Puff Daddy, who signed them to Bad Boy Records. The group performed on songs for the likes of Blige, Puff, Notorious B.I.G., and Mariah Carey before releasing their 1998 debut album, Money, Power & Respect.  The song’s title track peaked at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  The group moved on to the Ruff Ryders label (home to DMX and Eve) and released We Are The Streets in 2000.

Sheek Louch released his first solo album, Walk Witt Me, on his own D-Block Records.  The album peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 200 album chart.  His sophomore effort, Silverback Gorilla appeared in 2008 and Donnie G: Don Gorilla followed in 2010.  Silverback Gorilla 2 was released in 2014 and included appearances by A$AP Ferg, Raheem DeVaughn, and Ghostface Killah.

In 2012, Sheek Louch once again joined forces with Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killa to form Wu Block, releasing a self-titled album that included appearances by Method Man, GZA, Jadakiss, and Erykah Badu, among others.
