Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos is a Spanish professional footballer born in Camas, Spain on March 30, 1986. He is currently a center-back and captain for both Real Madrid and the Spain national team. Ramos is considered to be one of the best defenders in the world and is known for his passing ability and goalscoring capability. From 1996 to 2003 he played for Sevilla youth academy. In 2003 he started his professional career at Sevilla B and in 2004 became part of Sevilla. In 2005 he moved to Madrid and became part of the team Real Madrid. With Real Madrid, he has won 20 major honours, including four UEFA Champion League titled and four Spanish League titles. In 2002 he played with Spain’s national under 17 football team, in 2004 he played with Spain’s national under 19 team, and in 2004 he played with Spain’s national under 21 team. He became part of the senior National team in 2005. Ramos has been named to the FIFPro World XI nine times, the UEFA Team of the Year eight times, and was named La Liga’s Best Defender five times.
