Selma Blair is an American actress born in Southfield, Michigan on June 23, 1972. She is best known for her role as Liz Sherman on the films Hellboy and Hellboy 2 and for her roles in the shows Anger Management, Kath & Kim and the first season of American Crime Story. While in college she acted in the play The Little Theater of the Green Goose. In 1993 she started attending acting schools in New York and was discovered by an agent. She made her debut on television in 1995 in the show The Adventures of Pete & Pete and continued landing roles in the shows The Dana Carvey Show, Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane, Anger Management, Web Therapy, Out There, Heathers, Promised Land, Xena: Warrior Princess, Kath & Kim and more. In 1996 she made her debut in film in the movie The Broccoli Theory and has since had roles in the films Brain Candy, In & Out, Brown’s Requiem, Girl, Can’t Hardly Wait, Cruel Intentions, Legally Blonde, A Guy Thing, The Sweetest Thing, Hellboy, The Deal, The Fog, Ordinary World and others. Throughout her career she has been nominated for several awards and has won an MTV Movie Award, two Young Hollywood Awards, and an Operation Smile Award.
