Rodney McLeod is an American professional football player born in Clinton, Maryland on June 23, 1990. He is currently a safety for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He played college football at the University of Virginia. In 2012 signed with the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted agent to a three-year contract for $1.44 million. He made his NFL debut in the St. Louis Rams’ season opener against the Arizona Cardinals. In 2015 he became an unrestricted free agent and in 2016 was signed to a five-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles for $35 million with $17 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $8 million. He became a Super Bowl champion in the 2017 season when the Eagles defeated the Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 392 tackles, 1 sack, 11 interceptions, 10 forced fumbles, 35 pass deflections, and 1 touchdown.
