Raury

Hip-hop and soul artist Raury was born Raury Alexander Tullis on June 6, 1996 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He began rapping at age eight and taught himself to play guitar while using Youtube videos at age eleven. He cites artists such as Kid Cudi, Outkast, Marvin Gaye, and Phil Collins as influences on his music.

Raury released his first EP, “Indigo Child,” in August 2014 under Columbia Records. He came in fourth on the “BBC Sound of 2015” list, which lists the best upcoming acts for the next year. He opened for Outkast in 2014, and was also named to the “XXL Magazine” Freshman Class in June 2015.
